A life romanticized

In a world filled with hatred, selfishness, and cruelty,

I still feel love.

I still hope for a better tomorrow.

I still feel the longing of the “perfect” life.

In a world where I am a stepping stone that keeps shoes from the mud,

I still believe that true love exists.

I still feel the pull of the universe, it’s whispers in my ears telling me, “there WILL be more”

I still hold on to my romanticized dreams of life, and I don’t plan on letting that go.
